    Fill in the fields and submit. Deadline is one week prior to our publishing date of the first Friday of each month for the print edition.
  • How can I promote my event to an online Featured Event and how much does that cost?
  • Our online Featured Event Listings include detailed description, photo/logo, weblink, map, as well as rotating in the top listings on both the CALENDAR PAGE as well as the widget on the HOME PAGE and every article page.
    Featured Event listings can be placed through our online calendar system HERE at $5 per day and can be paid for with a credit card through the event submission form at $5 per day. For runs over 25 days payments should be made by phone through our office at 435-656-1555 Cost is $125 per month, non-profit agencies receive a rate of $100 per month.
  • What are the deadlines for the monthly printed edition?
  • The print edition publishes the first Friday of each month with advertising deadline for the calendar of events being the previous Friday. Deadline for press releases and articles is two Mondays prior to that first Friday.
  • How and where is The Independent distributed?
  • The Independent is free and delivered the first Friday of each month at nearly 300 locations 
    in the greater Southern Utah area including St. George, Washington, Ivins, Santa Clara, Hurricane, La Verkin, Leeds, Virgin, Rockville, Springdale, Cedar City, Kanab, Utah, Mesquite, Nevada and Littlefield, Arizona. Check your local restaurant, cafe, grocery store or gas station. Additionally suindependent.com is also free to everyone with no paywalls.
  • Why should I advertise in The Independent and how do I do that?
  • The Independent, established 1996, is southern Utah's premier arts and entertainment publication, and is the most comprehensive guide to what's happening in the greater southern Utah area. Print readership is 25,000 to 30,000 monthly. 
    Cost per impression is less than any other medium in our area, starting at just 3/10ths of a cent. With ads starting under $100 per month you can get your business or event that extra exposure it needs for a price you can afford.   • Why should I advertise in Clip-n-Save and how do I do that?
  • Clip-n-Save is a coupon-based direct-mail insert for the Washington County, Utah area. It is mailed each month to one third of the homes in Washington County. As of December 2013 that is 17,000 residential addresses per month.  
    In addition to direct-mail it is also included as the center-spread, Section B of each copy of The Independent. All Clip-n-Save ads are posted online individually at SUindependent.com.   • Why should I advertise on suindependent.com and how do I do that?
  • As of September, 2014 over three thousand people per day are visiting suindependent.com, with nearly 80% coming through the home page and viewing an average of five pages per visit.
